Digital and financial inclusion powered by you

smartloans and smartphones to African entrepreneurs

How it works

We evaluate the entrepreneur

by partnering with largest African service providers and small savings groups for assessing entrepreneur's trustworthiness

You lend money or an old phone

on the Aion Sigma platform, which turns it into a collateral for our partnering local smartphone distributors

Entrepreneur leases a phone

from our local partner in Africa on fair and flexible terms

You receive your funds back

with time as the entrepreneur pays for the lease and you get your money back

Green economy,
fair finance and internet for all

- is what we believe in

A smartphone connected to internet is what everyone of us needs for essential civic & cultural participation in today’s digital world.

We’re here to narrow the gap of 75% of Africans unable to afford a smartphone under the current market conditions.

With our smart loans we already helped over 10,000 entrepreneurs across Zambia, Nigeria and Kenya get access to smartphones and develop their day-to-day business.

Our success stories

Today, our solution is available in Zambia, Nigeria and Namibia. We also have piloted it in Kenya with Equitel. Read the stories below.

In Zambia Aion Sigma has partnered with Musanga Logistics to provide smartphones for their employees - tractor drivers. They now can access route and traffic information, location tracking and maps as well as instant messaging and productivity support applications.

Aion Sigma enabled access to finance and digital life for more than 10,000 people in Nigeria presently and growing. Our local partners continuously improve their customer acquisition and retention, which they have gained through employing Aion Sigma’s novel banking, credit and telecommunications service.

Aion Sigma's African home-base is in Windhoek at the University of Turku's (UTU) Future Tech Lab. At the shared campus (University of Namibia) we research key technologies to us. AI with a focus on individual empowerment and trust as it applies to digital and financial inclusion - and distributed autonomous organizations, DAOs.
